"Mark Bellhorn"
After the Boston Red Sox historic defeat of the Yankees in the 2004 playoffs, they got the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. In Game 1 second baseman Mark Bellhorn has just tagged second and is making this leaping relay throw to first in an attempt to ring up a double play. I don't remember much about this picture, but what I do remember is that the light hitting Bellhorn hit a critical home run and I painted this as a tribute to him. The Red Sox swept the Cards in four games for their first World Series Championship in 86 years.
