I love Oregon and the Columbia River. It's a great place to recreate, especially the Hood River area with wind surfing, swimming and any other water sports. The Columbia River is also a major shipping lane made famous by Woody Guthrie, and home to one of my least favorite past times, fishing. In addition it's just plain scenic. This is a painting of the Columbia River looking east on a clear day from Crown Point observatory toward The Dalles and Idaho.
